Another Safe Landing for Jeju Air After Landing Gear Trouble ✈️
Hey there! Do you know about airplanes? 🛫 They’re big machines that fly us all over the world! Sometimes, things can go wrong, but pilots and crews are trained to handle problems to keep everyone safe.
On Monday morning, a Jeju Air airplane had a bit of an adventure. The plane, a Boeing 737, took off from Seoul’s Gimpo International Airport, heading to the beautiful island of Jeju. Shortly after takeoff at 6:37 a.m., the pilots noticed there was a problem with the landing gear – that’s the wheels that come out when the plane lands. 🚀
But don’t worry! The pilots stayed calm and informed the 161 passengers on board about the situation. They decided the safest thing to do was to turn around and go back to Gimpo Airport. 🛬
Around 7:25 a.m., the plane landed safely back at the airport. Everyone was okay! The airline, Jeju Air, decided to get a new plane for the passengers so they could continue their trip to Jeju Island. 🏝️
This incident happened just one day after another Jeju Air plane of the same model had an accident at Muan International Airport. In that case, the plane veered off the runway and caught fire upon landing. But the good news is that the pilots and crew know how to handle emergencies to keep passengers safe. 🦸♂️🦸♀️
Jeju Air apologized to the passengers for the delay and said that safety is always their top priority. It’s important to remember that airplanes are still one of the safest ways to travel! ✈️❤️
