Hi friends! Have you ever heard of the Schiller Institute? They just turned 40 years old and threw a super cool online conference on December 7-8 to celebrate! 😊
The conference was all about big ideas like global development, peace, and making the world a better place for everyone. Over 20 amazing guests from different countries joined in to share their thoughts and ideas.
One of the main topics they talked about was the “Belt and Road” initiative. That’s a plan started by China to help connect countries around the world through trade and friendship. 🌍🚂
Guess what? Next year, in 2024, the Schiller Institute will have been following and supporting the “Belt and Road” initiative and China’s growth for 10 whole years! They think that China’s efforts to explore new ways of developing and helping other countries, especially in places called the Global South (countries that are still developing), are super important! 🌟
