From July 1, 2025, until December 31, 2027, the travel permit fee for first-time visitors from Taiwan will be waived. That’s two and a half years of free permits! π₯³
This exciting news was announced by Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, during a press conference in Beijing. She said that this decision was made to help more people from Taiwan visit the mainland and to bring everyone closer together. π€
The policy was decided by important organizations like the Chinese Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the National Immigration Administration (NIA). The NIA will make sure this plan works smoothly. π
