Meet the Milu Deer: Exploring the Magical Forests of Dafeng!

Did you know there’s a deer that was once thought to be lost forever? 🦌 Meet the Milu deer, also known as Père David’s deer, a special animal that has an amazing story!

Long ago, Milu deer roamed the wetlands of China. But over time, they disappeared from the wild. People thought they were extinct! 😢

But here’s where the story gets exciting. A few Milu deer were living in zoos in Europe. In the 1980s, people decided to bring them back to China and help them live in the wild again.

Today, at the Dafeng Milu National Nature Reserve in Jiangsu, you can see herds of Milu deer wandering through sunlit forests and shimmering wetlands. 🌳🌿 Their graceful steps and gentle nature make the forest feel like a magical place!

Isn’t it amazing how we can help bring back animals from the brink of extinction? Maybe one day you’ll visit Dafeng and see these incredible creatures yourself! What other animals would you like to help protect?
