Hey there! Did you know that China has a new superhero of the skies? 🦸✈️ Their very own MA60 civil search and rescue aircraft just took its first flight! 🎉
This amazing plane flew for an hour and 20 minutes, taking off and landing safely at an airport in Xi’an, China. Xi’an is a big city in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. Pretty cool, right? 😎
The MA60 is part of the “Modern Ark” family of planes made in China. It’s designed to help with search and rescue missions. That means it can help find people who are lost at sea 🛳️, in high mountains ⛰️, or even after disasters like earthquakes and floods 🌊.
Before this, it was hard for China to do search and rescue over long distances. The new MA60 plane will make it much faster and easier to help people in need! 🚀
The company that built the plane, called the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (or AVIC for short), says this new aircraft will make a big difference. It will help China respond quickly in emergencies and keep people safe. 🛡️
The project to build this special plane started in December 2021. Now, after lots of hard work, it’s ready to soar into the skies and help others! 🛫
