Beijing is opening the world’s first robot ‘4S store’ in 2025 during the World Robot Conference!
A ‘4S store’ stands for Sales, Service, Spare parts, and Surveys. That means you can not only see and interact with robots but also buy them, get them fixed, and learn all about the latest robot technology!
The store will have cool areas where you can test out robots in real-life settings! Imagine walking into a room and having a robot greet you or even help you play games!
Over 100 robot companies are joining in, including 30 that make humanoid robots (robots that look like humans!). Ten big robot companies have already signed up to be part of the store.
Yizhuang, a special area in southern Beijing, is becoming a super cool place for robots! It has more than 300 robot and smart manufacturing companies. They even had the world’s first robot half-marathon race earlier this year!
Yes, you heard that right! Robots ran a 21-kilometer race! 🏃♂️🤖 A robot called Tiangong Ultra won the race in 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds! Isn’t that amazing?
