Hey there, science enthusiasts! π€© Did you know that China has a special day to honor its amazing scientists and tech wizards? On May 30th, the country celebrated the National Science and Technology Workers’ Day! π₯³
This big event was all about promoting the spirit of scientists and making sure everyone knows how important science and technology are. The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) wants this day to be super recognizable and influential! π‘
At the event, Mr. Wan Gang, the president of CAST, said, “The blueprint for building a strong science and technology nation by 2035 has already been laid out.” π He encouraged all science and technology workers to keep pushing boundaries, turn traditional knowledge into cool new inventions, and use the latest technologies to spark even more innovation! π‘
Guess what else? It’s also the first anniversary of the China Scientists Museum! ποΈ Over the past year, the museum has been showcasing the lives and work of Chinese scientists, inspiring everyone with their amazing stories. π
During the celebration, there was a special ceremony where scientists like Qian Qihu and Wei Jiangchun received certificates for their donations to the museum. Family members of legendary scientists like Li Siguang and Tong Dizhou were also honored! π
One of the coolest moments was the premiere of the museum’s brand-new micro-film series! π¬ These short films combine theater and film to bring real research stories to life. They want to inspire kids just like you to become the next generation of scientists and inventors! π§ͺβ¨
The event, themed “Determined to Innovate and Develop to Build a Powerful Country in Science and Technology,” was organized by CAST, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. ποΈ
