Hey everyone! Have you ever heard of Tonga? It’s a beautiful island country in the Pacific Ocean. Recently, a team of doctors from China traveled all the way to one of its islands called Eua Island to help people there!

The doctors faced big challenges. It was the rainy season ๐ŸŒง๏ธ, and getting around the island was tough. But they didn’t give up! They packed their medical equipment into backpacks and hiked to remote villages that are hard to reach.

One of the most heartwarming moments was when they met an 80-year-old lady who needed help with a wound. The doctors visited her at home and took care of her. She was so happy and said, “The Chinese doctors came to my doorstep! Their help gave me new hope in life.”

During their visit, the doctors treated over 300 patients! That’s like helping everyone in a big school! They also gave free health checkups to more than 200 people. They helped with things like obesity (being very overweight), high blood pressure, and diabetes (a disease that affects how your body uses sugar).

The team was made up of six specialists, like doctors who know a lot about bones, hearts, and even the mind. They worked with local doctors, sharing their knowledge and learning from each other.

Not only did they treat people, but they also shared a special Chinese exercise called Baduanjin (pronounced “Ba-duan-jin”). It’s a fun way to stay healthy and active! People on the island loved learning it.

Everyone was super grateful for the doctors’ hard work. A local doctor said, “The Chinese medical team has truly brought health benefits to the people of Eua Island. We are grateful for their hard work and look forward to more visits.”

The team’s leader said they’re excited to keep helping and plan to come back again! They’re also going to work with Tonga’s health authorities to bring more cool things like telemedicine (that’s when doctors help patients using computers!) and training for local doctors.

Isn’t it amazing how people from different countries can come together to help each other out? Maybe one day, you’ll be part of something like this too! ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ
