Hey friends! Have you ever imagined robots checking trains? Well, it’s happening now in China! At Huanghua Port in Hebei Province, clever robots are inspecting freight trains to make sure they’re safe and sound.
These robots are super smart. 🚀 They can check 10 trains a day! That’s a lot more than people can do. One robot looks under the train, and two others check the sides. Together, they can inspect 54 train carriages in just over two hours!
Mr. Wang Peng, a manager at the train company, said these robots find all the common problems with the trains. That’s 100% accuracy! Isn’t that amazing?
But wait, there’s more! Soon, there will be even more robots. In a few months, they’ll have 10 side-checking robots. That means they can inspect a whole train in just 27 minutes! Before, it took 16 people over 50 minutes to do the same job.
Mr. Zhang Hao, who looks after the robots, told us that these robots take lots of pictures of the trains. They take 9,450 high-definition photos during an inspection! 📸 Then, they use computers to find any problems in over 120 different ways.
A maintenance worker, Mr. Lyu Dawei, said, “Robots indeed work with higher precision than humans.” That’s pretty cool, right?
Robots are helping make trains safer and inspections faster. Who knows what else they’ll do in the future? Maybe one day, we’ll have robots fixing the trains too!
