The mission, called IM-2, took off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It rode on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket—just like a big, powerful space bus! 🚌💨
On board is a special lunar lander named Athena. After about a week traveling through space, Athena will land on the Moon around March 6. Fingers crossed for a safe landing! 🤞
Athena is carrying cool science instruments from NASA. These gadgets will help scientists learn more about the Moon’s environment. This is super important because it helps us get ready for future astronauts to explore the Moon! 🧑🚀🌖
