Hey space fans! π Guess what? Blue Origin, the rocket company started by Jeff Bezos (you know, the Amazon guy), just got permission to launch their super big rocket called New Glenn! π
The Federal Aviation Administration (that’s the FAA) gave Blue Origin a special license to send New Glenn into space. This is a big deal because now they can start doing important missions, like helping the U.S. Space Force launch satellites. π°οΈ
New Glenn is a giant rocket that can be used over and over again, kind of like recycling! β»οΈ After it goes into space, the first part comes back down and lands on a big boat in the ocean. How cool is that? π
Before they can do the super important missions, they’ll do a test launch to show everything works great. Originally, they were going to help NASA send spacecraft to Mars, but the rocket wasn’t ready in time. So now, they’ll test some new technology instead. π¬
Did you know that SpaceX, run by Elon Musk, has been launching rockets a lot lately? Blue Origin is joining the space race, and it’s exciting to see more companies exploring the stars! β¨
We can’t wait to see New Glenn soar into space. Maybe one day, you’ll get to travel on rockets like these! Dream big! π
