The event took place from December 20 to 22 and was all about the latest and greatest in electric vehicles (EVs). Brands like JMEV, BAIC, and LEAP Motor showcased their awesome EVs, and everyone was buzzing with excitement! ๐
“We organized the motor show to welcome Christmas,” said Si Thu Aung, one of the organizers. “Most of the vehicles here are EVs from China. More people in Myanmar are using EVs because they’re affordable and don’t need fuel!”
Did you know? Electric cars run on electricity instead of gasoline, so they’re better for the environment and can save money on fuel. ๐๐
Visitors got to check out and even test-drive some of the cool cars! Ma Zar, a young woman in her 20s, said, “I’d like to buy an EV. I came here to learn more about them. I really like this pink one!” She was pointing at the JMEV EV3 model. ๐๐
Another visitor, U Kyaw Than, 66, tried out a LEAP Motor electric car with his wife. “I think it’s suitable for older people like us. It’s easy to handle and comfortable,” he shared. ๐ซ
People are super excited about features like karaoke systems and cold storage boxes in cars like the ARCFOX Alpha T5 EV from BAIC. ๐คโ๏ธ
Myanmar is seeing more and more electric cars on the roads since they started a special EV project in 2023. By October 2023, over 5,800 electric cars were registered! ๐๐๐
While there are challenges like building more charging stations, many companies are working hard to set them up. Soon, there might be charging spots everywhere! โก๐
