This week, at a huge event in China called the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), a special report was released. It’s called the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report 2024. 📖 It talks about how things move around the world from where they’re made to where they’re used.
The report includes cool maps for 11 important industries, like robots that look like humans, smart cars that can drive themselves 🚗, and even coffee and cotton! ☕👕 These maps show how different countries and companies work together to make and deliver these products.
Some big trends they found are:

Two new tools were introduced:
- The Global Supply Chain Connectivity Index (GSCCI): This helps us see how well countries are connected in moving goods around. 🌐
- The Global Supply Chain Promotion Index (GSCPI): This measures how much countries are helping to improve the supply chain. 📈
These indices use lots of data from important organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. They help governments and businesses understand what’s happening and how to make things better.
