Hey sports fans! π Guess what? China’s diving superstar Zhang Wenao just made a big splash at the 2025 World University Games in Berlin! πββοΈ He won the gold medal in the men’s 1-meter springboard event!
During the competition, Zhang started off strong, but he was in second place after his first dive. Not to worry though! He nailed his second dive with an awesome score of 77.50 points, zooming into first place and staying there until the end! π He finished with a total of 425.85 points!
His teammate, Hu Yukang, had a bit of a rough start, but he didn’t give up! πͺ After some lower scores, he pulled himself back up with an amazing final dive, earning him the silver medal with 368.75 points! Way to go, Hu!
The bronze medal went to Germany’s own Tim Axer, who scored 354.80 points. Great job, Tim! π
But that’s not all! In taekwondo, China’s Guo Qing kicked her way to the top in the women’s 53-kilogram event! π₯ She beat Thailand’s Chutikan Jongkolrattanawattana 2-1 in an exciting final match to win the gold medal!
With these amazing performances, China is currently second on the medal table with 12 gold, 17 silver, and 4 bronze medals! ποΈ Keep it up, Team China!
