Yang Hansen scores 15 points for Trail Blazers to defeat Pelicans

Yang Hansen Helps Trail Blazers Win Against Pelicans!

Hey basketball fans! πŸ€

On Tuesday, the Portland Trail Blazers faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. It was an exciting game, and guess what? Chinese rookie center Yang Hansen had an amazing performance! πŸŽ‰

Yang scored a fantastic 15 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, made 2 assists, blocked 2 shots, and even had a steal! He made 6 out of 13 shots, including 3 three-pointers. One of his three-pointers was actually the team’s first field goal of the game! How cool is that? 🌟

At the beginning, the Trail Blazers took a strong lead with a 14-4 start. Yang was super active on the court, even blocking the Pelicans’ Yves Missi with a two-handed block! πŸ›‘

But the Pelicans didn’t make it easy. They started focusing more on Yang, especially when he was near the basket (that’s called “the paint” in basketball). Their rookie player Derik Queen used his speed and defense skills to make it harder for Yang to score close shots. πŸ€”

So what did Yang do? He adjusted his game! He started taking more shots from outside and helped his teammates by setting screens (that’s when a player blocks a defender to help a teammate get open). This teamwork helped his friends Rayan Rupert and Caleb Love score more easily. Together, they scored 41 points! 🎯

Caleb Love also grabbed 12 rebounds, which means he caught the ball after missed shots 12 times. Great job! πŸ™Œ

Even though the Pelicans tried hard, especially with Derik Queen scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds, and Jeremiah Fears adding 14 points, the Trail Blazers stayed strong. In the final quarter, Portland outscored New Orleans 35-25, sealing their victory with a final score of 93-87. πŸŽ‰πŸ†

It was an exciting game, and we’re so proud of Yang Hansen for his awesome performance! Can’t wait to see what he does next! πŸ’ͺ
