Hey sports fans! ๐ Guess what? The 2028 Los Angeles Olympics are shaking things up! Organizers just released the first look at the competition schedule, and there are some exciting changes. Let’s dive in! ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Opening Ceremonies Like Never Before! ๐
Mark your calendars for July 14th, 2028! The opening ceremony will be extra special because it’s happening at two places: the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. That’s double the fun! ๐
A Big Switcheroo in Events! ๐
Usually, swimming happens in the first week and athletics (that’s track and field) is in the second week. But not this time! ๐โโ๏ธ The Los Angeles Olympics are switching it up:
- First week: Athletics (Track and Field)
- Second week: Swimming
Isn’t that cool? It’s the first time this has happened! ๐ฎ
First and Last Champions ๐
The very first champion will be crowned at the beautiful Venice Beach after the triathlon. Imagine winning a gold medal with the ocean breeze! ๐๐๏ธ
And the last big event? The traditional marathon will still close out the Games on the final weekend. ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
The Busiest Day Ever! ๐
Day 15 is going to be action-packed! There will be 16 team finals and 19 individual finals all in one day. That’s a lot of medals! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
More to Come! ๐ข
The organizers are still working on the details. They’ll be sharing more of the schedule later this year, so stay tuned! ๐๏ธ
