Hey basketball fans! Are you following the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Lausanne, Switzerland? 🏀🌍 Well, here’s the latest update: China’s team fought hard but lost to Slovenia with a score of 99-82 on Tuesday.
It was China’s third game in Group B, and even though they haven’t won a game yet, guess what? They still made it to the Round of 16! 🎉 They’ll be playing against New Zealand next, so keep your fingers crossed for them! 🤞
The game started off strong for China. Players Zhu Zheng, Huan Sinan, and Zhang Boyuan helped the team jump to an 11-5 lead with a cool 6-0 run! 🏃♂️💨 Then, Zhang and Chen Jiazheng scored more points, pushing the lead to 17-8. Go team! 🙌
But Slovenia wasn’t backing down. They went on a 10-0 run, taking control of the game. Leon Ivicic was on fire, making five out of eight three-point shots! 🔥 Urban Kroflic was perfect from beyond the arc, hitting all four of his three-pointers. Together, they scored a whopping 36 points for Slovenia.
In the second and third quarters, Slovenia kept up the pressure with big runs, making the score 71-43 at one point. 😮
But China didn’t give up! 💪 Zhang, Huan, and Ao Feng worked really hard to close the gap. In the end, Ao and Huan both scored 12 points each, helping to reduce Slovenia’s lead to 17 points.
