Hey basketball fans! Did you hear the exciting news? China has advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIBA Men’s 3×3 World Cup for the very first time! ๐
On Thursday, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, China faced off against France in an intense game. The score was tied at 16-16 after regular time, leading to a thrilling overtime. Guo Hanyu and Xiang Zhichao scored the winning points, securing an 18-16 victory for China! ๐
Earlier that day, China had a tough game against Austria, losing 21-17. This meant they had to beat France to top Pool C and move forward. And guess what? They did it! Even though they were behind for most of the game, they never gave up.
In the final moments, France was leading 16-15. But then, France got two technical fouls, giving China a chance with two free throws. Wu Xingrui missed the first, but Guo Hanyu nailed the second one, tying the game and sending it into overtime! ๐ฎ
Overtime in 3×3 basketball is untimed, and the first team to score two points wins. China took this chance, and with teamwork and determination, they came out on top.
Now, China will play against either Australia or Spain in the quarterfinals. Let’s cheer them on! Go China! ๐จ๐ณ
