Hey there, sports fans! ๐
Have you heard about Sun Yujie? She’s a 20-year-old shooter from China who just did something amazing! ๐
On Wednesday, at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany, Sun Yujie won the gold medal in the women’s 25-meter pistol event! ๐ฏ
But here’s the cool part: She didn’t start off in first place. In the qualification round, she was ranked last among the eight finalists. ๐ฒ But did that stop her? No way!
Sun Yujie bounced back with an incredible performance in the finals, scoring 38 points and climbing all the way to the top of the podium! ๐ฅ
This is her third gold medal at the World Cup this year! Earlier in April, she also won in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Lima, Peru. Talk about a winning streak! ๐
The silver medal went to Oh Ye-jin from South Korea, who scored 36 points, and the bronze went to her teammate Yang Ji-in with 32 points. Great job to them as well! ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Another Chinese shooter, Yao Qianxun, who was first in the qualification round, finished in fifth place in the finals. Still an awesome achievement! ๐
Guess what? The next ISSF World Cup for rifle and pistol is coming up soon! It will be held in Ningbo, in east China’s Zhejiang Province, from September 7 to 15. Can’t wait to see what happens next! ๐
Go Sun Yujie and all the amazing athletes! ๐
