Gauff books fifth consecutive trip to quarterfinals at French Open

American Tennis Star Coco Gauff Reaches French Open Quarterfinals ๐ŸŒŸ

Hey, tennis fans! ๐ŸŽพ Guess what? American tennis star Coco Gauff is on fire! She just made it to the quarterfinals of the French Open for the fifth time in a row! ๐ŸŒŸ

On Monday, Coco faced Ekaterina Alexandrova in Paris at the famous Roland-Garros stadium. She played an amazing match, winning 6-0, 7-5. That’s like winning two sets in a row! ๐Ÿ™Œ

In the first set, Coco was unstoppable. She won every game, which is called a “bagel” in tennis. ๐Ÿฅฏ But in the second set, Alexandrova tried hard to catch up. Even so, Coco stayed strong and won the match in just 82 minutes.

“It feels great to be back in the quarters here,” Coco said after the match. “I’m really happy with how I played today, and hopefully can keep going.” ๐Ÿ˜Š

Did you know that 19-year-old Coco has won 15 matches on clay courts this season? That’s tied for the most on the women’s tour! She’s hoping to win the French Open after coming close in other big tournaments recently.

Next up, Coco will play against another American tennis player, Madison Keys. Madison won her match against Hailey Baptiste, 6-3, 7-5. It’s going to be an exciting all-American showdown on Wednesday! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

“I’m really happy with my play today,” Madison said. “I knew I had to up my level, and any opportunity I could, just try to capitalize on it.” ๐ŸŒ
