On Wednesday, Alcaraz faced Jack Draper from Britain in a thrilling match. He won 6-4, 6-4. It wasn’t easy, though! Draper put up a tough fight, and Alcaraz had to work really hard to win. He saved 6 out of 8 break points. That means Draper was close to winning some games, but Alcaraz held on! 💪

Fun fact: Draper had actually beaten Alcaraz earlier this year in March. But this time, Alcaraz came prepared! Despite having some leg problems in recent tournaments, he moved really well on the court. He used his famous drop shots (that’s when you hit the ball just over the net so it lands softly) and strong groundstrokes to outplay Draper. 🌟

In the first set, Alcaraz was behind 4-2, but he didn’t give up. He fought back and won the set! The second set had a super intense game that lasted almost 10 minutes! 😮 Alcaraz saved two break points there, which was a big turning point. He then broke Draper’s serve and went on to win the match!

After the match, Alcaraz said, “The most important thing I did today was not thinking about the shots at all. I just tried to do the things that make me happy on court.” That’s a great lesson for all of us – enjoying what you do can lead to success! 😊
