Ju clinches 5th consecutive title at FIDE Women's World Championship

Ju Wenjun Wins Her 5th Chess World Championship Title! πŸ†

Hey, young chess fans! πŸ† Guess what? Ju Wenjun from China has just won her fifth world championship title in chess! That’s like winning the biggest chess game five times in a row! πŸŽ‰

She played against Tan Zhongyi, another amazing chess player from China, in Chongqing. The final score was 6.5 to 2.5. That’s a big win! πŸ₯³

In their last game, Ju played with the white pieces and used a special strategy called the Nyezhmetdinov-Rossolimo attack against Tan’s Sicilian defense. Sounds fancy, right? It means she played smart moves to try and win. β™ŸοΈ

Both players were really careful, and the game was super close. They ended up in a part of the game called a rook-and-pawn endgame. In the end, they agreed to a draw, which means neither player won that game. 🀝

But after nine exciting games, Ju came out on top and became the champion again! She’s now won the title five times in a row, and it’s the 16th time a Chinese player has won the women’s world championship. How cool is that? 🌟

Maybe one day, you’ll be a chess champion too! Keep practicing and have fun! 😊
