What an exciting night it was in the UEFA Champions League! Two of Europe's biggest clubs, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), have made it to the semifinals! 🎉
Barcelona's Thrilling Battle with Borussia Dortmund
Barcelona faced a tough match against Germany's Borussia Dortmund. Even though Barcelona lost the game 3-1, they had won the first game 4-0. That means they won 5-3 overall! 🏆
Dortmund's star player, Serhou Guirassy, was on fire! He scored a hat-trick (that's three goals in one game! 🎩). Guirassy gave Barcelona a real challenge, scoring early with a cool penalty kick called a Panenka. Then, he headed in another goal to make it 2-0. 😲
But Barcelona didn't give up! Fermin Lopez made a great play that led to an own goal by Dortmund's Ramy Bensebaini. That goal helped Barcelona keep their lead. 🥅
Guirassy scored again, making it 3-1, and the game was super close until the end. But Barcelona held on and are now one step closer to possibly winning three big trophies this season, just like they did 10 years ago! 🥇🥈🥉
PSG's Close Call Against Aston Villa
Meanwhile, PSG played against England's Aston Villa. Although PSG lost 3-2, they had a strong lead from their first game and won 5-4 overall! 🙌
PSG started strong with goals from Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes in the first half hour. But Aston Villa fought back hard! Youri Tielemans scored before halftime, and then John McGinn and Ezri Konsa scored two quick goals in the second half. 😮
PSG's goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, made some amazing saves to keep his team ahead. Thanks to him, PSG is also moving on to the semifinals! 🧤
