Hey football fans! โฝ
The big Manchester Derby between Manchester United and Manchester City ended in a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday. That means neither team scored any goals! ๐ฎ
Both teams had chances to win the game but just couldn’t find the back of the net. City were missing their top scorer, Erling Haaland, due to injury, which might have made it harder for them to score.
Manchester City are now fifth in the Premier League table with 52 points, while Manchester United are 13th with 38 points.
City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, said after the game, “Tight game. They had chances. We had chances as well.” He felt his team needed to move the ball better.
One of the exciting moments was when City’s Omar Marmoush took a powerful shot from 25 yards out, but United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, made a fantastic save! ๐งค๐
On the other side, United’s Joshua Zirkzee almost scored with a half-volley, but City’s keeper Ederson stopped it with an amazing save! ๐
This was the first time Manchester United kept a clean sheet (that’s when a team doesn’t let the other team score) at Old Trafford since December 2024.
The last time these two teams played, it was a lot more exciting, with United winning 2-1 thanks to late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo.
