Exciting news from the snowy slopes of Engadin, Switzerland! Two amazing Chinese athletes, Liu Mengting and Han Linshan, have just qualified for the women’s big air freeski final at the big World Championships! π
But wait, what’s big air freeski? It’s an awesome event where skiers fly off giant ramps, doing flips and tricks high up in the air! Imagine jumping off your school steps, but way bigger and with skis on! π·β¨
Liu zoomed into fourth place with a fantastic score of 166.25 points! Han wasn’t far behind, sliding into eighth place with 158.75 points. They both did so well that they’ll be competing in the final round on Thursday! Let’s cheer them on! π
Two other brave Chinese skiers, Yang Ruyi and Xiong Wenhui, also competed. They came in 12th and 23rd. Even though they didn’t make it to the final, they gave it their all! π
And guess what? Xiong Shirui, who won a gold medal at the Asian Winter Games in 2025, also participated. She didn’t make it to the final this time, but she was happy with how she performed. Sometimes, it’s all about doing your best and having fun! π
