Su Yiming Soars to Silver at Snowboard World Championships! ๐๐ฅ
Hey snow fans! Have you heard about Su Yiming? He’s a 21-year-old snowboarder from China who just made a big splash at his first ever World Championships in Switzerland!
Su competed in the snowboard slopestyle event. If you’re wondering what that is, it’s a super cool competition where riders perform amazing tricks on different obstacles like rails and huge jumps! ๐โท๏ธ
In his very first run, Su wowed everyone with his awesome moves, scoring 85.07 points and taking the lead! ๐ฎ๐
But the excitement didn’t stop there. Canada’s Liam Brearley was up next. In his second run, he nailed his tricks and scored a whopping 90.15 points, jumping ahead of Su.
Su gave it his all in his final run, trying an even tougher trick to reclaim the top spot. Even though he didn’t get the gold this time, earning the silver medal at his first World Championships is a huge achievement! ๐ฅ๐
After the event, Su shared, “This is my first time competing at the World Championships. It feels like, after the Beijing Winter Olympics, the overall level of snowboard slopestyle across the globe has reached new heights.” ๐๏ธ
He added, “My coach and I have been working so hard over the past two years. Slopestyle is even more challenging for us than big air. Standing on the podium is already a big breakthrough and a great success. We’re making progress step by step. This silver medal shows that all our efforts and daily practice are worth it!” ๐ชโค๏ธ
We’re so proud of Su Yiming and can’t wait to see what he does next! Maybe his story will inspire you to try snowboarding someday! ๐โ๏ธ
