Hey there, ice sports fans! βΈοΈβοΈ Exciting news from Poland! Chinese skaters Ning Zhongyan and Han Mei just won bronze medals at the ISU World Cup Speed Skating opener! π₯π₯ Isn’t that awesome?
After a fantastic time at the Harbin Asian Winter Games, where they scooped up lots of medals, they traveled all the way to Poland to compete with the best in the world!
Ning Zhongyan raced in the men’s 1500 meters and finished with a super speedy time of 1:46.06 minutes! He was less than a second behind the winner, Jordan Stolz from the USA. Talk about close! ππ¨
Han Mei skated in the women’s 1500 meters and was just 0.06 seconds behind Japan’s Miho Takagi. So close to silver! The gold went to Marijke Groenewoud from the Netherlands. π
Another rising star, Yang Binyu from China, also did great with a sixth-place finish! Keep an eye on her! π
These amazing results show how hardworking and talented the Chinese team is. They’re making big waves on the ice! πβοΈ
However, not everything went as planned. Gao Tingyu, who won gold at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, didn’t have his best day. He finished 15th in the men’s 500 meters. But we know he’ll come back stronger! πͺ
