China’s U20 Soccer Team Scores Big Win to Reach Quarter-Finals! ⚽️
Hey everyone! Exciting news from the AFC Under-20 Asian Cup! China’s Under-20 soccer team had an amazing match against Kyrgyzstan and won 5-2! 🎉
It all started when Liu Chengyu scored the first goal for China in the 13th minute. He kicked the ball into the net after a great pass from his teammate Wang Yudong. But Kyrgyzstan didn’t give up! Umar Madaminov from Kyrgyzstan made an awesome shot in the 25th minute to tie the game at 1-1.
Just before halftime, things got thrilling when China was awarded a penalty kick. That’s when a player gets to kick the ball from a special spot called the penalty mark, with only the goalkeeper trying to stop it! Wang Yudong stepped up and calmly kicked the ball into the net, putting China ahead 2-1! 🥳
In the second half, Kyrgyzstan got a red card, which means one of their players had to leave the game because of a serious foul. With Kyrgyzstan down to 10 players instead of the usual 11, China took advantage. In the 49th minute, Mao Weijie scored a fantastic header, which is when you use your head to hit the ball into the goal, making it 3-1 for China!
Kyrgyzstan tried to come back when Yryskeldi Madanov scored with a header in the 65th minute, making it 3-2. But China wasn’t done yet! Substitute player (a player who comes into the game later) Zhu Pengyu came on and scored not just one but two goals! 😮 His first goal was in the 80th minute, and he scored again in injury time (extra time added at the end of the game), making the final score 5-2!
In another game, Australia beat Qatar 3-1. Both China and Australia have won their first two matches, so they are both going to the quarter-finals, which is the next round in the tournament! 🙌
Way to go, China! We can’t wait to see how they do in the next round. Keep cheering them on! 🇨🇳🎊
