The game started with Kuwait taking the lead. They were ahead 5-3 in the first period. Kuwait’s players, Anton Tcibin and Ilia Drozdetskikh, each scored two goals! ๐ฎ They even extended their lead to 7-3 later on.
But Kyrgyzstan didn’t give up! They worked super hard and tied the game at 8-8 in the final minute of the third period. Can you imagine how intense that was? ๐ฒ
Then, just 19 seconds into overtime, Kyrgyz captain Mamed Seifulov scored the winning goal! ๐ฅ Talk about a comeback! Kyrgyzstan won the game 9-8.
“It was a hard win for us,” said Kyrgyzstan forward Sultan Ismanov. “We arrived here two days ago and still need to adapt. I am sure we will be better in the next game.” He also thanked their fans and the Chinese people for the great atmosphere. ๐
