Harbin Gets Ready: Asian Winter Games Media Center and Athletes’ Village Now Open! 🎉
Hey everyone! Exciting news from Harbin in China 🐉! With just one week to go until the 2025 Asian Winter Games, the city is buzzing with activity. The Main Media Center (MMC) officially opened on Friday, getting ready to share all the amazing moments of the Games with the world.
The MMC is like a big hub where all the news and broadcasts about the Games come together. It’s located in the Harbin International Conference, Exhibition and Sports Center. Inside, there’s the Main Press Center (MPC) and the International Broadcasting Center (IBC). That’s where reporters and TV crews will work to bring you all the latest updates!
Friendly volunteers are on hand to help out with language and guiding services. They even have foreign currency exchange places, so visitors from other countries can easily change their money. Cool, right?
And guess what? There’s an official store where you can get souvenirs of the 9th Asian Winter Games. The most popular items are the adorable tiger mascots named “Binbin” and “Nini” 🐯🐯. Aren’t tiger mascots just the best?
In the MPC, they have a press conference room, an online news center, and workrooms for different media groups, including Xinhua, which is the host news agency of the event. They even have a display of torches from past Asian Winter Games and amazing calligraphy and paintings themed around Harbin 2025. It’s like a mini-museum!
Meanwhile, the Athletes’ Village at the Victories Hotel is now open too! This is where all the athletes will stay during the Games. Imagine meeting athletes from different countries all in one place!
The first match of the Asian Winter Games will be an ice hockey game on Monday, just before the opening ceremony on February 7. The Games will run until February 14. That’s a whole week of thrilling winter sports! ⛷️🏒🥇
Get ready to cheer for your favorite athletes and enjoy the excitement of the Asian Winter Games in Harbin! Let’s support them together! 🎊
