On Friday, China made history at the IBSF World Cup in Winterberg, Germany. Zhao Dan and Lin Qinwei became the first Chinese team to win a world-level title in the skeleton mixed team event! 🥇
Zhao zoomed down the track in just 1 minute and 1.46 seconds, putting China in the lead. Then Lin dashed down, finishing with a combined time of 2 minutes and 0.87 seconds. That’s faster than a cheetah on ice! 🐆❄️
This victory is extra special because the skeleton mixed team event will be in the Olympic Games for the first time at the 2026 Winter Games in Milano-Cortina, Italy. Maybe we’ll see them win gold again! 🏅
The Austrian team of Janine Flock and Samuel Maier came in second, just 0.10 seconds behind. Another Chinese duo, Li Yuxi and Yin Zheng, took third place. It was a super close race! 🏁
