On Thursday, Shang played an exciting match against Nishesh Basavareddy from the United States. In the first set, Shang started super strong and won 4-3 in a tiebreaker! 🎉 A tiebreaker happens when both players have the same score in a set, and they play a special game to decide the winner. It’s so intense!

But then, Basavareddy made a comeback. He won the next three sets with scores of 4-2, 4-2, and 4-1. That means Basavareddy won the match overall. Even though Shang didn’t win this time, he played with a lot of heart and skill! 💪

Earlier in the tournament, Shang played against Luca Van Assche from France. This is Shang’s first time at the Next Gen ATP Finals, so just being there is a huge achievement! Let’s give him a big round of applause! 👏
