La Vuelta 2025: A Bike Race Adventure Starting in Italy! 🚴♂️🔥
Hey there, cycling fans! Have you heard the big news? The 90th edition of La Vuelta a España, one of the world’s most exciting bike races, was just announced in Madrid! And guess what? For the first time ever, the race will start in the beautiful country of Italy! 🇮🇹🏔️
The Adventure Begins in the Alps! ⛰️
On August 23, 2025, the riders will kick off their journey in the Italian region of Piedmont, surrounded by the stunning Alps. These mountains are super tall and absolutely gorgeous, making them a perfect backdrop for the race.
Three Exciting Stages in Italy 📍
The first three days of the race will all be in Italy:
- Stage 1: The cyclists will ride 183 kilometers from Turin to Novara. Along the way, they’ll climb over the Bienca-Tomalino Pass. It’s going to be a tough but exciting start! 🚵♂️
- Stage 2: This 157-kilometer stage starts in Alba and finishes in Limone Piemonte. Here, the riders will face the race’s first summit finish, which means they’ll end the stage at the top of a mountain! How cool is that? 🏔️
- Stage 3: The final Italian stage is 139 kilometers from San Maurizio Canavese to Ceres. The cyclists will challenge themselves by climbing over the Issiglio Pass. They’ll need lots of energy for this one! 💪
Then Back to Spain! 🇪🇸
After the exciting stages in Italy, La Vuelta will return to its home country, Spain, to continue the race. La Vuelta is one of the three Grand Tours in cycling, along with the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. It’s a big deal in the cycling world!
