Guess what, soccer fans? 🏆 Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal, has just won the 2024 Golden Boy trophy! This award means he’s considered the best young player in all of Europe! 🌟
Lamine turned 17 just one day before the Euro 2024 final, and he played a super important role in helping Spain, also known as ‘La Roja’, win the championship. 🇪🇸❤️ They beat England 2-1 in an exciting match!
But that’s not all! Lamine was also named the Young Player of the Tournament and won the Goal of the Tournament for his amazing goal against France in the semi-final. ⚽🔥
He was supposed to go to Turin, Italy, to receive his award, but he got an ankle injury during Barcelona’s game against Leganés on Sunday. 😢 The good news is he’ll be back on the field in about three to four weeks!
Even though he’s injured, Lamine is super happy. He said, “I’m very happy. I really feel the affection the fans have for me, and receiving awards makes me very pleased and very happy.” 😊💖
