Bayer Leverkusen had an awesome game on Saturday! They won 2-0 against Augsburg. This victory puts them in second place in Germany’s top soccer league, called the Bundesliga.
Leverkusen has been on a winning streak! They have won their last seven games in a row in all competitions. That’s pretty amazing, right? 😮
In this game, the first goal was scored by Martin Terrier in the 14th minute. He kicked the ball into the net, and the crowd went wild! 🎉 Then, just before halftime, Florian Wirtz scored another goal in the 40th minute. Two goals in the first half!
Did you know? Leverkusen hasn’t lost an away game in the Bundesliga for 24 matches! Only Bayern Munich has a longer unbeaten run away from home.
Speaking of Bayern Munich, they lost 2-1 to Mainz 05. It was their first league loss of the season! Now, Leverkusen is just four points behind Bayern.
