🏀 Exciting Basketball Showdown: Shanxi Stops Beijing’s Winning Streak!
Hey basketball fans! On Monday night, something amazing happened in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. The Shanxi Loongs took on the Beijing Ducks in an intense game and won 106-101, ending Beijing’s six-game winning streak! 🏆
The game was a rollercoaster from start to finish. Shanxi started strong with a 7-0 lead, but Beijing fought back quickly with an 11-0 run! Can you believe that? Both teams were giving it their all.
Some of the standout players included Richard Solomon and Zhang Cairen for Beijing, who made some awesome shots from far away (that’s called “downtown” in basketball terms 🏙️). They helped Beijing lead 28-21 after the first quarter.
But Shanxi didn’t give up! In the second quarter, players like Brandon Goodwin and Ibrahima Faye charged into Beijing’s area (called the “paint”) and helped tie the game at 33. The game was so close!
The third quarter was full of action and fouls. That means players sometimes had to stop the game because they broke rules, like bumping into each other too hard. Both teams kept going to the free throw line to make extra shots. Beijing had another big run, but Shanxi’s Hamidou Diallo made some important free throws to keep his team close.
In the final quarter, Shanxi’s Liu Chuanxing made a big jumper (that’s a kind of shot 🏀) to put his team ahead 89-87. The game was tied at 97 with less than two minutes left! So intense!
Then, Shanxi’s Zhang Ning became the hero of the game. He got to shoot six free throws and made all of them! Meanwhile, Beijing’s players Zeng Fanbo and Eugene German missed some important shots. In the end, Shanxi celebrated a big win, and Beijing’s winning streak was over.
