Hey gamers! 🎉 The Shanghai Esports Masters is kicking off at the Jing’an Sports Center in Shanghai, and it’s going to be legendary! Nearly 100 players from around the globe are competing from Wednesday to Sunday in four amazing games:
- Honor of Kings
- Valorant
- Street Fighter 6
- Naraka: Bladepoint
The opening ceremony was super cool, with awesome lights and technology. Officials and esports leaders started the event in a futuristic way by inserting electronic cards to begin the show! 🚀
The competition lasts five days, and champions will be crowned in all four games. The first matches were for Honor of Kings, where eight teams battled fiercely to reach the semifinals.
Guess who was there? Luo Siyuan, also known as Huahai! 🏆 He made history by winning the first-ever esports gold medal for China at last year’s Hangzhou Asian Games. He attended the opening ceremony as the player representative for Honor of Kings.
Luo said, “I think it is a great honor to represent Honor of Kings and attend the opening ceremony. This tournament is more exciting because the schedule is tighter, and there’s more interaction with fans. I will do my best in the competition and hope to have another chance to fight for our country!” 🇨🇳
The matches have been intense! Luo’s team, Wuhan eStarPro, faced a tough challenge and was surprised by Xi’an WE, who advanced to the semifinals to face Nanjing Hero Jiujing. The other semifinal will see Hangzhou LGD.NBW competing against Jinan Rogue Warriors. Who will come out on top? Stay tuned! 🔥
