The first goal came from Cody Gakpo in the 12th minute. It all started with an amazing long pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold to Mohamed Salah, who sent a low ball past City’s goalkeeper. Gakpo was right there to tap it in! 🥅
Later in the game, Liverpool got a penalty after Luis Diaz was fouled in the box. Mohamed Salah stepped up and scored, making it 2-0 in the 78th minute! The crowd at Anfield Stadium went wild! 🙌
This win puts Liverpool nine points ahead at the top of the Premier League, which is a big deal! 📈 Manchester City hasn’t won in seven games now, which is their longest streak since 2008.
