Recently, representatives from Russia and Ukraine met in a place called Istanbul to talk about peace. They agreed to exchange prisoners, which means people captured during the conflict will get to go home! That’s good news, right? 😊
But there’s still a problem. They couldn’t agree on stopping the fighting completely. Ukraine wants a full ceasefire, which means both sides stop fighting right away. Russia and Ukraine have different ideas about how to make that happen. 😕
Ukraine also suggested that their President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, should meet to talk things out. They think it would be helpful if other leaders, like the President of the United States and Turkey’s President, could join in. 🌍
