French President Macron Visits Greenland and Says “Greenland Can’t Be Bought!”
Hey everyone! Did you hear the big news? French President Emmanuel Macron just visited Greenland! 🇫🇷✈️🇬🇱
While he was there, he said something super important: “Greenland cannot be bought or taken.” This means he thinks it’s not okay for countries to try to take over Greenland.
President Macron met with Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen. They all agreed that it’s better when countries work together as friends. 🤝
He also announced that France will open an office in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital city. This shows that France wants to be good pals with Greenland!
They even visited a giant glacier called Qamanaarsuup Sermia to see how climate change is affecting the ice. 🌍❄️ They talked about how we all need to help protect our planet.
The people of Nuuk were super excited to see President Macron. They waved flags and cheered! One local said, “I’m happy that he supports us.” 😊
In the end, President Macron said, “We can build a better future through cooperation rather than confrontation.” That means it’s better to work together than to argue!
Isn’t it awesome when countries team up to make the world a better place?
