Hey there! Have you heard about BRICS? π
BRICS is a group of five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. They get together to talk about how to make the world a better place.
Recently, China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, met with his BRICS friends in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He had some cool ideas to share! Let’s find out what they are. π€
1. Playing Fair in Trade ποΈ
Mr. Wang said that BRICS countries should stick together and make sure everyone plays fair when trading. He doesn’t like it when countries put up barriers or make it hard to trade goods. He wants BRICS to help keep trade rules fair and open for everyone.
2. Sharing Money Matters π°
He also talked about money and how it’s important to make sure all countries have a say in global finances. Mr. Wang thinks that the rules about money should change so that countries from the Global South have more of a voice. He wants to make sure places like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund listen to everyone equally.
3. Going Green Together π³
The environment is super important! Mr. Wang wants BRICS countries to work together to protect our planet. He says we should all follow the Paris Agreement, which is a big plan to fight climate change. He hopes developed countries will keep their promises to help. BRICS countries can team up to use cleaner energy and help our Earth stay healthy.
4. Sharing Digital Fun π±
Technology is awesome! Mr. Wang thinks BRICS countries should help each other with digital stuff. That means making sure everyone can use the internet and new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). He wants to make the internet a fair and safe place for all. Plus, there’s a big AI conference happening in Shanghai in July 2025, and he wants everyone to join in!
Working Together Makes Us Stronger πͺ
By sharing ideas and helping each other, BRICS countries can make a big difference in the world. Whether it’s trading, money, the environment, or technology, teamwork is the key!
