Chinese, Russian FMs discuss bilateral ties, Ukraine crisis

China and Russia Meet to Talk Friendship and Peace 🌍🀝

Hey there! Did you hear that China and Russia had an important meeting recently? On Monday, Mr. Wang Yi, who is China’s Foreign Minister (that’s like the country’s top diplomat), met with Mr. Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia, in a city called Rio de Janeiro in Brazil! 🌎

They talked about how their countries are good friends and want to keep working together. Even though the world is changing fast, China and Russia still trust and support each other. They want to help each other in lots of ways! 🀝

They also talked about something called BRICS. BRICS is a group of five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. These countries work together to make the world a better place. China and Russia, as founding members of BRICS, want to help other developing countries and make the world fairer for everyone. 🌐

A big part of their talk was about the situation in Ukraine. There has been a conflict there, and many people are affected. Mr. Lavrov from Russia said they are ready to have peace talks with Ukraine without any conditions. That means they want to discuss peace anytime! πŸ•ŠοΈ

He also said that Russia will have a temporary ceasefire (that’s when both sides stop fighting) around May 9th. This date is special because it’s when they celebrate Victory Day, marking the end of World War II in Europe. πŸŽ‰

Mr. Wang Yi from China said that China always supports peace and wants countries to talk and solve problems together. πŸ€—

The two ministers also chatted about working together in big groups like the United Nations and the G20, which are groups where many countries come together to discuss important issues. They also discussed other important topics like Iran’s nuclear program and what’s happening on the Korean Peninsula. 🌏

It’s great to see countries talking and trying to make the world a more peaceful place, isn’t it? Let’s hope for a brighter and more peaceful future! ✨
