He said that Cambodia and China respect and support each other. During a ceremony for a new road that China helped fund, Hun Manet said, “Today shows how our friendship is getting stronger for the good of our people.“

Cambodia and China have been friends for a long time. They started their friendship on July 19, 1958! Since then, they’ve gotten even closer, working together on projects like the Belt and Road Initiative. That’s a big plan to connect countries through roads, railways, and more!
