President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine has appointed Oleksandr Nechytailo as the new ambassador to China. But who is he?
A Veteran Diplomat 🌐
Mr. Nechytailo is 51 years old and has lots of experience working in other countries. He served as Ukraine’s ambassador to Malaysia from 2016 to 2022. He was also the ambassador to the Philippines during that time!
Languages and Learning 📚
Did you know that Mr. Nechytailo studied at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev? He graduated in 1995 with a degree in philology. That’s the study of language and literature! He specialized in Ukrainian and Chinese languages. So, he can speak Chinese and English too! 🗣️
