Hey there! Have you heard the news from Serbia? ๐ท๐ธ
Serbia’s President, Aleksandar Vucic, has nominated a doctor named Djuro Macut to be the country’s new Prime Minister! ๐ฉบ๐จโโ๏ธ
Dr. Macut is 62 years old and is an endocrinologist. That’s a type of doctor who helps people with hormone problems, like diabetes and other metabolic diseases. ๐ฅผ๐
He teaches at the University of Belgrade and works at a big hospital there. Now, he might become the leader of Serbia’s government! How cool is that?
But before he can start, Serbia’s parliament needs to approve him. They have until April 18 to decide.
President Vucic says that Dr. Macut is very smart and hardworking. He wants the new government to focus on making life better for people in Serbia. That includes things like improving hospitals, schools, science and technology, and taking care of the environment. ๐๐ฑ
They’re also getting ready for a big event called Expo 2027 in Belgrade. It’s like a giant fair where countries show off cool inventions and ideas! ๐
The president also mentioned that Serbia wants to be friendly with countries in Europe and others around the world. ๐
The last Prime Minister, Milos Vucevic, resigned earlier this year after a sad accident at a train station. Now, Dr. Macut might step in to help lead the country forward. ๐
What do you think about a doctor becoming a Prime Minister? Would you like to see more scientists and doctors in government? ๐ค
