Poll: Over 50% of Ukrainians fear Trump may lead to unjust peace

Many Ukrainians Worry President Trump’s Peace Plans Won’t Be Fair

Hi there! Did you know that more than half of the people in Ukraine are worried about U.S. President Donald Trump’s plans to bring peace to their country? 😮

According to a recent poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (that’s a group that asks people what they think), many Ukrainians are concerned that the peace plans might not be fair to Ukraine.

The survey asked 1,326 Ukrainians how they feel about President Trump’s efforts to end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Here’s what they said:

  • 32% think there will be a somewhat unfair peace, but with some of Ukraine’s demands met.
  • 22% believe the peace will be completely unfair.
  • Only 3% feel that President Trump could bring about a completely fair peace.

These numbers show that many Ukrainians are less hopeful about the U.S. helping to end the conflict fairly. More people are worried now than they were before President Trump became president.

Anton Hrushetskyi, the leader of the survey group, said that people have been disappointed with how the U.S. has been involved in Ukraine, and President Trump’s actions are making that disappointment stronger.

Also, the poll found that 67% of Ukrainians think the U.S. might be getting tired of the situation in Ukraine and is trying to press Ukraine to make concessions (give things up) to end the conflict.

It’s important to understand how people in different countries feel about big world events. What do you think makes a peace agreement fair? 🤔
