Hey everyone! Did you hear about the big earthquake that happened in Myanmar? On Friday, a huge earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale shook the country. That’s really big! Sadly, over 1,600 people lost their lives, and more than 3,400 people got injured. 😢
But here’s some good news! The Chinese government quickly sent 82 rescuers and over 20 tonnes of emergency supplies! That’s a lot of help! 🚚🧰
Teams from different parts of China, like Yunnan Province, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Shenzhen City, are joining the rescue efforts. They brought search-and-rescue equipment, medical kits, and supplies like tents, blankets, and beds to help people who lost their homes. ⛺🏥
But it’s not just China helping out. The whole world is pitching in! The United Nations gave $5 million for emergency relief. Malaysia sent a team of 50 rescuers. Singapore sent 80 people and even four rescue dogs to help find people! 🐶👨🚒
New Zealand is also helping, giving over $1 million for recovery efforts. It’s so amazing to see countries around the world coming together to help Myanmar in this tough time! 🌐❤️
