Recently, Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, asked for a stop to all air attacks after a big missile and drone attack hit his country. Many energy places, like power plants, were damaged.
He wants both Ukraine and Russia to agree to stop attacking each other’s important places from the air and sea. He thinks this could be the first step towards real peace!
Other countries are supporting this idea too. For example, Turkey’s leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said he agrees that stopping attacks could help build trust between both sides.
But Russia confirmed that it did launch attacks on Ukraine’s energy places. They said they were targeting areas linked to Ukraine’s military.
In response, Ukraine worked hard to defend itself. They said they shot down many missiles and drones.
It’s been tough for people in Ukraine. Many areas lost power because of the attacks. Firefighters were busy putting out fires, especially in places like Kharkiv.
The good news is that some leaders are planning to meet and talk about finding peace. We all hope that they can find a way to stop the fighting and bring peace soon! ✌️
