Hey friends! Have you heard about what’s happening in a place called the West Bank? It’s a region where many people live, and recently, there have been some serious problems.
The leaders of the Palestinian people are saying that Israel is doing bad things in the West Bank. They say that many homes have been destroyed, and lots of people have had to leave where they live. 😟
In two areas called Jenin and Tulkarm, there have been clashes. Clashes are like fights between groups. Many people have been hurt, and some have even lost their lives. This is very sad news.
The Palestinian spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, is asking for help from other countries, like the United States, to stop the fighting and help the people who are suffering.
Since January, the Israeli army started something called “Operation Iron Wall.” They say they want to stop groups they call “terrorist groups.” Because of this, many families have had to leave their homes, and their lives have been turned upside down.
The mayor of Jenin, Mohammed Jarrar, said that about 15,000 people had to leave their homes because of the fighting. That’s like the entire population of a small town! Can you imagine having to pack up and leave your home suddenly?
In Tulkarm, almost half of the people had to leave their homes too, according to Governor Abdullah Kamil.
