Peace process stalls in between Colombia, ELN video poster

Clashes in Colombia: Thousands Displaced by Fighting

Hey friends! Did you hear about what’s happening in Colombia? 🤔 Let’s talk about it together.

In Colombia, a country in South America, there are two groups called the National Liberation Army (ELN) and FARC dissidents. Lately, they’ve been fighting each other, and it’s causing big problems for many people.

Because of this fighting, more than 52,000 people had to leave their homes! That’s like if everyone in a big city had to pack up and go somewhere safer. 😟 Also, 32,000 people are stuck in their houses because it’s too dangerous to go outside.

Sadly, 52 people have lost their lives because of the violence. This is very serious and makes everyone feel sad.

Carlos Velandia, who used to be a leader of the ELN but now works as a Peace Advisor for the government, is trying to help. He talked about how they can bring peace back to the country.

We all hope the fighting stops soon so families can feel safe again. Let’s keep Colombia in our thoughts and hope for peace! ✌️
